They do the job I need them for, but are very expensive for what they are. ZigBee bulbs, even the pricey Hue ones are significantly cheaper.. If these were closer to the price of the bulbs, I would buy them instead if the bulbs.

My only technical gripe is that the external switch contact is not volt-free, it needs 8-220 volts to operate which is awkward. I would much rather they were dry contacts.

I am actually pretty impressed with this and will almost certainly be buying more, very easy to set up through the hue app as a hue light . works well , has a minimum dim setting which will stop flashing lamps and the bit i liked the most which they didnt explain in the listing is that if you use a momentary switch ( push type) you are able nopt only to turn off and on at the switch but also dim/raise brightness by holding it down

I bought this to convert some existing wall lights to work with Hue that use the very small halogen bulbs for which there is no smart option. Installation was pretty simple but as a previous reviewer had said, pairing was anything but. There are no hue specific instructions so it’s a bit of trial and error. Pair it before you install it in its final location as being close to the hub is the key. I found I had to press the reset button 5 times to initiate the correct mode. Once the hue app discovers it it’s plain sailing. It appears as a dimmable switch and works right down to a very low level of brightness. Does exactly what it was meant to do. Very happy.
