INSTALLATION STEPS

Tuya Zigbee Smart Gateway/SM310
1. Open Smart Life app and tap the Zigbee Gateway. Tap Add sub-device and select PIR Sensor. Follow on-screen instructions to continue
2. Ensure your mobile phone is connected to the WIFI network and the sensor is as close to the Zigbee Smart Gateway as possible
3. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds until the network – pairing indicator starts flashing red on the sensor. Follow the on-screen instructions on your phone to finalize the setup
4. The sensor should now be ready and operational

Samsung SmartThings
1. If the Zigbee Thing entity has already been added, delete it from the SmartThings app.
2. Register for the Beta Edge Drivers Channel.
3. Select the “Available Drivers” button.
4. Install the Zigbee Motion Sensor Mc driver.
5. Press and hold the reset button on your door sensor until the front indicator begins flashing red.
6. Use the “Scan for nearby devices” function in the SmartThings app to add the device.

It’s worth noting that PIR motion sensors can be triggered by other sources of infrared radiation, such as sunlight or heaters, so it’s important to properly position and test the sensor to avoid false alarms.

Alexa can’t find the sensor Alexa app  

Ensure you have compatible Echo device. Double check the list of devices, as sometimes Echo may display “No new devices found” message after successfully adding new devices

 

My sensor stopped working Alexa app update  

Reset the sensor and re-add to Alexa. Ensure the old sensor is removed from Alexa before re-adding again

 

My Lights Off routine has stopped working Alexa app update  

  1. Delete the old action
  2. Add Wait action for your required time, e.g. 5 mins
  3. Add Time action of 0 minutes. The Lights Off routine will now be delayed 5 mins before executing the Time action.

Note: motion detection is pre-set to one trigger per 60 secs.

 

Sensor shows “There was a problem” message Alexa app update  

The message can safely be ignored if the sensor is used with Alexa routines. Reset the sensor and re-add to Alexa routines. Ensure the old sensor is removed from Alexa before pairing again
