The SM323-WF module is the bare PCB version of our SM323 Wi-Fi dimmer – the same hardware used in the SM323-WF plate-bundled variants, supplied without a faceplate or knob. Designed for installers and customers who already own a designer wall plate, or who want to retrofit smart Wi-Fi control inside an existing UK wall switch.

Pairs over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi via the Smart Life / Tuya app, with voice control through Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit (via the Smart Life HomeKit bridge). No hub or coordinator required – just your home Wi-Fi network.

Does the SM323-WF require a neutral wire?

No. The SM323-WF is designed for two-wire UK lighting circuits without a neutral. Wiring connects to live (L) in and switched live (SL) out only – the same as a traditional rotary dimmer it replaces.

Will the SM323-WF fit in my back box?

The dimmer module is 64 × 27 × 24 mm and fits a standard UK single back box. We recommend a 35mm-deep back box for comfortable wiring and cable routing. Always confirm there is enough clearance behind the faceplate before mounting.

Which bulbs are compatible with the SM323-WF?

Trailing-edge dimmable LED bulbs (up to 200W total load), dimmable halogen, and incandescent lamps. Non-dimmable LEDs will not dim and may flicker or fail. Check the Bulbs Compatibility Matrix tab on this product page for a verified list.

Does the SM323-WF need a hub or bridge?

No. The dimmer connects directly to your 2.4 GHz home WiFi network through the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. No Zigbee hub, Tuya gateway, or proprietary bridge is required.

Does it work with Alexa and Google Home?

Yes. After pairing with Tuya Smart or Smart Life, link the same account in the Amazon Alexa or Google Home app to enable voice control, routines, and group dimming across multiple devices.

What is the minimum load?

5W minimum. Below this, LED bulbs may flicker or fail to dim smoothly. For single low-wattage LED installations, an LED bypass capacitor across the bulb can resolve residual flicker.

Can I control the dimmer when I am away from home?

Yes. Tuya Smart and Smart Life support remote control, scheduling, scenes, and timer functions over the internet. No additional cloud subscription is required for these features.

What is included in the box?

The complete dimmer assembly – module, plate, and knob in your chosen finish – plus mounting screws and a quick-start installation guide. The faceplate and knob are factory-fitted to the module ready for installation.
