    MATERIAL:
    White Plastic

    COMPATIBILITY:
    SM217-series frames are compatible with most German light switches and sockets, where the tragring / mounting frame made of metal. It is NOT compatible with plastic tragring / mounting frame.

    INSTRUCTIONS:
    1. Remove the light switch knob / unscrew the socket
    2. Loosen the bracket (Klemme) that holds the existing frame and remove it
    3. Attach the frame and secure it with the original bracket (Klemme) or screws
    4. Attach a compatible SM202 insert to cover your light switch with a smart remote

    SM202-htd insert is just what I was looking for my Hue tap dial switch

    I'm quite happy, that you can put those frames and covers on existing light-switches and don't have to mess with the electronics behind. Another positive thing is, that the color is almost matching the original Hue-Switches. The only bad thing is, that the SM202-HD-V2 is not fitting perfectly in the SM223-frame. There is a bit of a gap and therefore the cover is not fixed on that side. You can feel and hear the moving of the frame while pressing the buttons. I solved the problem by putting a 4 times folded piece of printer-paper inside the gap.

      Sometimes they don’t fit exactly on top of the metal fixtures and some honing is required, but it’s just millimeters… otherwise the products are perfect for replacing the standard switches.
